SUMMARY

Reporting to the Network Management BU Engineering Director, the senior software Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of ERI EMS/NMS Northbound Interface applications. Our development environment is based on Microsoft IDE, visual studio, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000, ASP, XML, and MSMQ. The Software deals with very large datasets as well as high-transaction volume and high-availability applications. In-depth SQL Server database knowledge is necessary. Good design, testing, and coding skills a must. Good debugging and troubleshooting skills a must. Good communication and organizational skills are necessary.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: EMS/NMS applications developmentDevelop Graphical User Interface to support the server applicationDesign, develop and test software applicationsConduct reviews of the application architecture and designConduct application code reviews Develop debugging environment that assist in validating the application correctness Utilize ERI SDLC technologiesDevelop SQL store procedures and extended store proceduresInterface with product assurance departmentInterface with the NBI customer system integration teamEnsure the applications reliability in quality  Ensure that the software works in accordance with the application requirements specification Interface with the EMS/NMS team members

EXPERIENCE:

? 5 to 7+ years of experience in full life cycle, software design and development

?  Full life cycle development experience with Microsoft IDE, Visual Studio, C#.NET, SQL Server 2000, ASP

? Substantial expertise with SQL database technologies such as ODBC, Microsoft SQL Server

? Strong proficiency in XML, XSLT, SOAP, and MSMQ)

? Strong ability to create thread safe, multitasking, multithreaded and clustered applications

? Telecommunication Network Management application development experience highly desirable

? Telecommunication Networks fault management knowledge is highly desirable

? Familiar with networking protocols (SNMP,TCP/IP,UDP,FTP,TFTP)

? Excellent analytical skills

? Excellent communication skills

?   Significant and proven creative problem solving skills

?  Ability to work both independently and with a team

? B.S. in Computer Science
