Senior Telecommunications Analyst-VOIP

Financial Services Company located in Midtown Manhattan currently has a need for a Senior Telecommunications Analyst who is customer oriented, self-driven and motivated individual that will be managing the Telecommunications Department responsible for infrastructure and technical capabilities of the telecommunications systems in multiple-sites. The applicant will be interacting closely with a team of administrators, network engineers, application programmers, desktop support technicians and project managers as well as with corporate business leaders in designing, configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the Telecom Information Systems infrastructure to support the goals of The Company.

Responsibilities


? Manage telecommunication group in support of Infrastructure Systems


? Manage core voice services


? Manage telecom capabilities related to infrastructure systems including disaster recovery capabilities


? Responsible for vendor relationships for telecom services and maintenance contracts


? Responsible for managing corporate telephony expenditures, bill payments and annual telecom budgets


? Monitors and manages service levels to maintain quality of service of telephony systems


? Will interact closely with network and infrastructure manager/group in support of data/network functions


? Responsible for project planning and oversight, design and implementation of initiatives


? Provide daily field and corporate support with local and long distances problems


? Support wireless services and voice over IP and video conferencing


? Facilitate the installation and troubleshooting of telco circuits


Experience and Skill Requirements:


? 6 + years of corporate TELECOM experience


? Excellent record of customer service and interaction


? Good computer skills


? Experience with TELECOM diagnostic equipment


? Strong computer, organizational and communication skills


? Demonstrated project management experience


? Extensive knowledge of ACD, PDS, PBX/VM (AVAYA) systems and technologies. Knowledge of IVR and Recording systems and technologies a plus

? Experience in commissioning and supporting copper/fiber, frame services

? Working knowledge of fundamental networking protocols (LAN, WAN, ISDN, wireless services, voice over IP), etc

? Ability to quickly embrace and react to market needs and corporate priorities
? Strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience with cable plants, wiring/cabling


? Experience in supporting telco services-local/long distance voice and data services


? Experience in negotiating and managing large telecommunications contracts and maintaining partnerships with key vendors and service


? Hands on experience with mobile IP devices such as Blackberry and BES systems
