Senior Wireless Network Engineer

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Wireless Network Engineer in Largo, MD.  This individual must have current experience in the following areas:Digital wireless fixed network equipment including; transceivers, digital voting comparators, A-D converters; supporting land, aeronautical and maritime mobile operations. Wireless network Command and Control including IP based command and control and networking. Rack-and-stack mechanical assembly of digital wireless fixed network equipment including; transceivers, digital voting comparators, A-D converters; supporting land mobile, aeronautical mobile and maritime mobile operations. Electrical configuration, programming, alignment, optimization and troubleshooting of the above. Current and up to date, digital wireless fundamentals and practice. Working familiarity of digital encrypted wireless network utilization of WAN and private lines for backbone transport. Installation, optimization and testing of the above equipment and backhaul circuits. Working familiarity of wireless network management and remote diagnostics. Working familiarity of Windows NT, 2000, XP and UNIX.

 

The following experience is desirable:Hands-on knowledge of Motorola Project 25 fixed network equipment (FNE) including: CentraComm Gold Elite, AEB, KMC, KMF, WNG, RNC, ASTRO Quantar, ASTRO-TAC 3000, and DIU Hands-on experience with Cisco router, switch and hub products Wireless cryptographic implementations and cryptographic key management including electronic key management and dissemination.

 

Job Requirements :
With a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related scientific/technical discipline, 6 years of technical experience is required with a minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in the digital wireless field. A degree is not required with at least 10 years of technical experience, having at least 8 years of specialized experience in the digital wireless field.

 

Additional Information:

Must be a US Citizen and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret or Secret clearance.

Must pass a drug test.

Relocation assistance is not available.
