JOB MISSION:The charter of the Professional Services organization is to maximize client satisfaction and enable the sale of Internap solutions.The Solution Architect is the client?s trusted advisor; the Solution Architect creates client confidence in Internap?s technological solutions and Internap?s ability to deliver. The Solution Architect has proven success-solving client problems, advanced network engineering skills, experience with WAN and Application Assessments and change management disciplines.The Professional Services team optimizes WAN network performance, reliability and throughput via the Internet's most sophisticated technologies, route-optimization and TCP acceleration.

 

1. Design, implement and optimize Internap's Flow Control Platform and Flow Control X-Celerator. FCP Optimizes traffic flow for performance and cost across customers' multiple ISP links. FCX Accelerates data intensive applications by enhancing standard IP networks with sophisticated flow control at the TCP level.

2. Provide network and performance assessments, design and implementation solutions for customers and partners and identify critical path issues to the success of Internap?s solutions.

3. Contribute to and/or lead the development of customer and partner deliverables such as assessment reports, technical architecture/designs and training plans.

 

REQUIREMENTS:4-year college degree is mandatory.BS in Computer Science, Information Security or other related field is highly desirable.3-5 years in presales engineering role and/or business critical customer facing engineering roles is mandatory.CCNP, CCDP and/or CISSP certifications are a major plus.Position requires 3-5 years experience in network and security architecture design, implementation and troubleshooting.Proven ability to quickly assimilate new and advanced technologies is highly preferred.
