Leadership Development Specialist



The Leadership Trainer will develop, coordinate, and deliver leadership development programs for leaders in the Business Operations team. The focus will be to link leadership development initiatives directly to business strategy by implementing programs that focus on assessment, identification, rapid development, and movement of key talent so that the needs of our Customers, Employees, and Owners are met. This position will drive the company values that leaders coach and develop leaders and that we are personally and collectively accountable for results.

 Responsible and Accountable for:

Develop, coordinate, deliver, or otherwise identify learning & development opportunities that meet the needs of the business and the leaders running the business.
Deliver the core support leadership programs.
Conduct continual needs assessment to identify unique learning opportunities for leaders.
Contribute to the development of creative learning solutions to meet business needs.
Coordinate the identification and delivery of leadership development programs.
Assess and report the effectiveness of leadership interventions.
Formulate development plans for potential and current leaders:

Formulate a Learning Plan for each potential or current leader that outlines the appropriate support leadership classes.
Formulate a Development Plan for each potential or current leader that outlines the appropriate tasks, job assignments and responsibilities.
Formulate a Mentoring Plan for each potential or current leader that outlines the appropriate job assignments and mentoring relationships to promote growth.
Coach and develop support leaders:

Coach the potential and current leaders through one-on-one and group development sessions.
Follow up on the investment in individuals – reinforce to ensure skill development and maximize return-on-investment (ROI) in individuals.
Coordinate the delivery of ongoing leadership training initiatives at both the site and national levels (technical, soft skill, and HR/L&D related).
Contribute to the creation of a retention culture by developing leader competencies that focus on the development of talent and behaviors that promote employee retention.
Become established as a business partner:

Partner with Vice Presidents, General Managers and leadership teams – function as a business partner that helps problem solve business issues and links training deliverables to business success.
Establish continuous communication with partners that builds trust, partnership, collaboration, and commitment.
Identifies key stakeholders and develops strategy to build stakeholder support for leadership initiatives.
Partner with all Business operations departments to provide training solutions to leaders that are based on internal and external customer needs and that maximize the use of internal knowledge and skill competencies.
Role model the Mission & Values of the organization.

Building productive relationships within team and all customer service teams.
Building productive relationship with peers.
Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (Business, HR, Org. Development, etc.)
Relevant Leadership/Management experience (minimum of 4 years required)
Corporate training experience (minimum 4 years preferred)
- Solid understanding of adult learning theories & principles required
- Solid understanding of performance management & coaching techniques required (advanced understanding of T-Mobile's ABCD coaching model preferred)
HR background preferred
Must be able to travel extensively (Approximately 50% of the time)
Must be able to travel and work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
