Sr. Engineer BPM Process

The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Senior BPM Systems Engineer for our Voice Operations Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop, test, and support BPM workflow applications to support TWC?s Voice Operations teams. Build end-to-end workflow applications using the Telcordia Expediter platform
Working with customers to understand their operational needs and practices in order to create business rules and process workflow to support application development
Provide analysis, input, and preparation assistance for technical documents such as product requirements, specifications, implementation plans, test plans, and user documentation. Extract design guidance from requirements definitions, existing application code, process documentation, and customer interviews
Provide formal input to project teams regarding systems requirements, including recommendations on how customer goals can be met within established project timelines. Provide level-of-effort estimates for development based on project proposals and requirements documents. Explain to customers the technical and scheduling implications of choosing among design alternatives.
Develop understanding of key data parameters, interactions, and system interfaces between workflow applications and various related TWC systems, including systems of third party vendors and business partners. Integrate workflow applications with external systems as needed to meet project requirements. Ensure that each application built in Expediter employs a data architecture and workflow structure that is supportive of existing or future applications.
Ensure successful implmentation of new releases. Develop and execute application testing procedures. Provide training as needed to support system releases.
Act as a technical resource to users and other team members. Respond to user inquiries and follow through to ensure resolution. Maintain lists of application enhancement requests, product issues, bugs, etc., and provide resolution status to customers.
Apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to ensure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Maintain all code and documents in established version control and content repository systems.
Act as overall Expediter platform owner and system administrator, including management of user/access control, new application releases, software and hardware upgrades, system operation and maintenance, etc. Coordinate support for these technical duties with TWC and vendor technical resources (DBAs, SAs, IT, Engineering, etc.)
Job Requirements:
This position requires key skills in two areas: business process analysis and workflow application development.
Experience with business process engineering and use-case modeling. Experience with Telcordia?s Expediter platform is strongly preferred. Otherwise, significant development experience with at least one other enterprise BPM/workflow application is required, with expectation that candidate will be trained on Expediter.
Strong knowledge of application development for distributed workflow management, including typical methods for handling task routing; business rule validation; sub-processes; status tracking; reporting; escalation; jeopardy notification; rollback support; and all standard activity types (sequential, parallel, dependent, subordinate, conditional, delayed, milestone, iterative, manual, automatic, etc.).
At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of experience in BPM. BPM experience should include at least 3 years in process analysis and design, and at least 2 years developing and implementing workflow applications.

Proficiency with business process analysis and development, as well as working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, Java, and Microsoft Windows environments; Microsoft Word, Visio, and Excel, and significant experience with the following: client-server architectures; software testing; application integration including work with APIs such as JMS; SSL certificate creation and usage; and Internet protocols including FTP, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, XML, SOAP, etc. Should be familiar with version/ source control and configuration management technologies and practices, as well as software development concepts including SDLC and CMM.
Preferred Qualifications:
Telephony industry experience; knowledge of the PSTN and multiple telephony functions such as network provisioning, order operations and processing, service activation, and PSTN database operations (MSAG, LIDB, CNAM, etc.). Experience with CATV and/or Internet industries is a plus.
Experience with any of the following would be considered pluses: Solaris; database administration; systems administration; object-oriented code models and concepts; various web development tools and browser technologies; project management; technical writing; training; MS Exchange, SharePoint Server, or Project; usability engineering; GUI design; graphic design; help authoring; knowledge engineering; expert systems; or VOIP technologies.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
