SENIOR MANAGER/DIRECTOR MARCOM


The Sr. Manager/Director of Marcom is responsible for defining, designing and implementing programs that will clearly differentiate Portal and its solutions. Primary areas for focus will be the creation of messaging, materials and programs which will help to clearly differentiate Portal in the market, create excitement about Portal, increase the awareness of the success of Portal?s customers, and drive additional interest in the company?s unique solutions. The individual will take ownership of developing the program plan, securing appropriate buy-in and approvals and working with field marketing, sales and other groups to launch programs and monitor metrics.

KEY CAPABILITY AREAS

Design and implement go to market programs

Develop messaging for Portal company, products, services and solutions.

Lead the writing and creative effort to create appropriate marketing collateral to support programs

Drive integrated marketing approach for global programs.



KEY RESULT AREAS

Development of crisp messages for Portal and go to market initiatives
Ability to support field activities with marketing collateral
Ability to manage web and events coordinator

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Develop relationships across Marketing including product marketing, field marketing and customer programs.
Develop good working relationships with Portal executives.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in marketing. MBA is a plus.
10-12 years experience in marketing communications and specific experience in developing go-to-market programs.
The ability to manage across an organization is critical as are project management skills.
Demonstrated experience in developing highly creative and competitive programs and materials for products, services and solutions.
Must be able to effectively plan and manage the wide range of programs and be a hands-on contributor as well.
A very strong background in working with Public Relations and Investor Relations teams. International marketing experience is required.
Familiarity with enterprise software and B2B products would be extremely valuable. Experience in telecommunications marketing is a plus.
Attention to detail is a must. Writing and presentation development skills are essential.
Experience in managing direct and virtual teams.
TRAVEL: 10-15% with some international.
