Sr. Network Consultant - Dallas, San Antonio, or New Jersey

Amdocs is looking to hire a senior industry leader to help build new consulting network service offerings focused within the AT&T CBU. The ideal candidate will have spent time at ATT prior to divestiture or at one of the Bells on the network side of house with hands on experience with both legacy and new generation systems in one of the following areas; service fulfillment, service assurance, and/or IMS. Knowledge of legacy Telcordia products would be nice to have. This individual also needs to possess excellent presentation skills to assist with sales support efforts yet also have the ability to oversee and deliver a large scale project. This solution group leader will be responsible for building and maintaining repeatable project assets to be leveraged on future deployments.

Major Responsibilities:
Projects and Forecast business headcount demand to create hiring plans
Provides leadership to team of experienced high-level consultants and project managers, including performance monitoring and appraisal, mentoring, motivating, and skills and career development
Recruitment of consultants and project managers to meet project demand, and ensures quality of all new staff
Consultant to Amdocs customers and accounts, with ability to gain trust and confidence of customer up to VP level
Work closely with the CBE?s to manage and prioritize all consulting work
Understands the impact of his/her decisions on the business of both Amdocs and Amdocs? customers
Understands, and is able to balance demands for sales and business development activities with those for customer projects and process improvement
Works well under pressure, with constantly changing and conflicting demands
Cooperates and coordinates with other internal groups and ensures culture/atmosphere that supports collaboration and mutual support
Delegates authority clearly and effectively
Works with sales, finance and account team to negotiate contracts involving services
Reviews and approves Statements of Work and Services Contracts
Able to articulate the Amdocs services value proposition to customers and internal groups
Able to present solution proposals approach, methodology and value to the customer

The ideal candidate will have knowledge with one or more of the following COTS packages: Granite, Cramer, SMARTS, Syndesis, and Telcordia.
Knowledge and experience in defining solutions for Tier 1 wireless and/or wireline telecommunication providers
Knowledge of Amdocs product suite is preferred
