JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Develop, modify and maintain applications on communications systems involving both software and hardware. Participate in mainly implementation with some design and pre-sale activities. Software/hardware engineer and lead systems technician skills required. Located in or near Los Angeles county.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

 Partners with SCI teammates in understanding client requirements and deploying software/hardware solutions for new and existing systems. Maintain and modify systems software application which includes understanding and inputting systems software translations including network routing. Implements Software and sometimes hardware requirements on Communications System Upgrades, Additions and New installs. This includes: Voice Mail (Intuity/Audix) and Call Center Systems Installs Avaya Communications Systems/Servers, such as S class (8300, 8500, and 8700), Gateways and Definity (G3si and G3r). Troubleshoot system issues and correct them Maintains high client satisfaction and completes appropriate paperwork. Takes ownership of projects and assignments that involved inLeader in training other associates

 

 

 

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Strong understanding of the telecommunications VoIP, PBX Systems industry with excellent planning, organizing and verbal/written communication skills. IP Telephony experience on Avaya systems/services and the ability to install S-class systems. Cisco/Nortel experience is a plus. Able to program and input system translations Can handle complex Networked System Implementations as Lead Tech/Software EngineerAvaya Certifications is a plus Excellent computer Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel,  PowerPoint) skills Strong client, quality and results orientation. Able to interact effectively at all levels across departments/diverse cultures Willing to travel approximately 30-40% as requiredAbility to reach and lift small objects and office equipment Must be willing to work some nights and weekends
