Strategic Sales Executive

Job Description: Responsible for presenting effective introductions and proposals to business executives of Fortune 1000 / Private 400 enterprise accounts, in assigned territories, in order to meet or exceed established revenue objectives.  Sales Executives proactively meet and maintain identified monthly / quarterly sales quotas.  Sales Executives will call on new and existing customers and analyze client needs relative to information technologies, providing profitable new customer growth as well as revenue growth opportunities within the existing customer base.  Must sell consultatively when making recommendations for telecommunication solutions to customers.  Manage the McLeodUSA sales process with internal and external customers with integrity beyond reproach. 
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments including marketing and direct support service.  Additional responsibilities include the completion of associated paperwork and tracking/reporting of daily sales activities and other required sales metrics.

Position Summary Sales Acquisition encompasses those positions typically engaged in the direct sale of equipment and/or telecom and data services to business and/or residential customers. Sales Acquisition positions typically include those involved with outside sales or those for which the primary activity is sales prospecting either through direct phone sales or on-site customer visits.
Leadership Standards This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Experience Requirements: 5+ years of quantifiable, successful, business to strategic enterprise customers. Maintains a fast-paced, competitive data/telecommunications selling environment. Experience selling a broad range of complex, integrated voice and data products to large accounts is required. Must possess the business acumen to recognize business challenges, recommend business-oriented solutions, and to be able to quantify the value of these solutions in business terms. Ability to converse, present, and effectively build (and maintain) relationships at an executive level (CEO, President, CFO, etc.) is required. Must have demonstrated the ability to negotiate contractual agreements related to the sale of complex telecommunications products. Must have an ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with all employees and support departments in a team-oriented manner. Excellent time management and task prioritization skills required.
Education Required: Bachelors Degree in business or equivalent experience is required.
