Systems Administrator

Provide internal operational support for a wide variety of clustered systems, stand alone servers, applications, batch processes, and backup and recovery processing. These systems include varieties of UNIX, Linux and Windows. Hardware platforms range from Sun, HP, Compaq, EMC, NetApp, Brocade, HDS, etc.
Execute detailed instructions to support operation and maintenance of systems, servers, and applications.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system, batch, and application failures.
Provide Systems Administrator level support on outstanding issues and production failures.
Coordinate trouble ticket generation, event management, and reporting during abnormal operational events.
Perform escalation and notification procedures in accordance with department guidelines and service level agreements (SLA).
Act as focal point for outage resolution and escalation as assigned by management.
Deploy end-to-end operations support and strategy.
Team with technical analysts, administrators, and management to execute post-resolution procedures and identification of root-cause and root-fix procedures.
Assist Business Analysts on special projects, documentation reviews, and troubleshooting.
Perform additional related duties as deemed necessary by the Management.



QUALIFICATIONS

? Thorough knowledge of the UNIX based System Administration required (Windows, Solaris, Linux).
? Strong knowledge of Veritas filesystems, CITRIX servers, and clusters.
? Strong knowledge of SAN technologies like EMC, Hitachi, NetApps etc.
? Knowledge of backup and recovery management strategies and tools like Netbackup strongly desired.
? Must work well in a team environment.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills required for interaction and mentorship with groups or individuals.
? Demonstrated strength in information technology event management of highly integrated and automated application environment.
? Excellent prioritization skills while multitasking in a multi-platform and highly integrated dynamic environment that demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills daily.
? Strong System Administration skills in troubleshooting resulting in quick and complete resolution of unplanned issues/outages with Solaris, Linux, Windows and other systems.
? Familiarization with server and enterprise storage and backup technologies.
? Strong understanding and tolerance for ambiguity in a constantly changing environment.
? Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge correctly and consistently.
? Must have flexibility and willingness to support a 7x24 operations environment by working nights and weekends.
