DESCRIPTION:

 

The Systems Engineer will serve as an integral member of the Netopia account management team, focused on the Latin American geographic region with several named accounts. In this position, this person will manage all technical aspects of the account relationship and will maintain a proactive role in providing new product and feature developments to the accounts. The successful candidate will have exceptional presentation skills and strong ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members and senior executives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Perform in-depth technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects, and work closely with business units to assist with product planning and/or enhancementsProvide product consulting and technical sales support to customers and Netopia account teamConduct on-site or remote technical trainingSupport platform evaluation and proof of concepts Assist in the completion of requests for proposalTest and evaluate new hardware and software productsAnalyze customer requirements and provide innovative solutions and strategies to complex issues.Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related discipline.Minimum 7-10 years experience as a systems engineer or technical equivalent.Fluency in Spanish and English languages.Experience in Unix environments, including Sun Solaris and Linux OS.TR-069 ACS (auto-configuration server) experienceTechnical experience with relational database systems and web server technologies including XML, HTML, HTTP/S and Web Services protocols. Technical experience in the networking field with emphasis on internet related protocols, services and connectivity; including physical interfaces (Wireless, ADSL, ADSL2+, and VDSL), datalink protocols (PPP, PPPoE), applications running over IP (VPN, Filtering, NAT and WiFi VoIP solutions).Proven analytical and problem solving skills, as well as solid communication and interpersonal skills.  Self-starter with demonstrated ability to multi task and work in a team environment.  Travel (airplane or car) is required.
