SingTel USA is a fully owned subsidiary of SingTel, Asia?s leading communications carrier. Within the US, SingTel USA currently operates 4 POPs and we are looking to add more US POPs as our business in US continues to grow.

SingTel USA seeks an experienced Technical Director to lead and manage the overall engineering and operations functions for SingTel in USA, including but not limiting to providing pre and post sales service delivery for all US data network to corporate customers of SingTel.



 

The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to effectively collaborate with Senior Management and positively add value to strategic planning processes.  Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow in a fast paced, high volume environment.

 

Technical ResponsibilitiesManage data operations and project implementations.Maintain and operate multiple data network platforms.Facilitate and coordinate US IT LAN/WAN and application development & to plan and implement IT LAN/WAN projects for inter-communications.Participate in network discussions and planning, feasibility and quality studies on pre-sales solutions.Facilitate and improve service contract, SLA, and SLG.Maintain up to date information on competitive and industry intelligence.Partner with HQ in global initiatives & projects.

 

Departmental and Process ResponsibilitiesContinuously improve the operations? cost effectiveness, efficiency and productivity by applying process re-engineering, re-organizing work units to streamline process flow and developing action plans to ensure that we are cost competitive while managing to budget.Responsible in establishing internal processes and procedures for communications from pre-sales to post-sales and admin (initiate and oversee a proper documentation process).



 

Leadership responsibilitiesTo lead, motivate and train the technical team for SingTel USA.Prioritize and manage resources (human, capital assets and consumable) at optimum level and be in line with operational goals.Provide training and career development for the staff, ensuring that they have the relevant technical depth and expertise to support the activities faced by SingTel USA as well as remain motivated on the job.

 

Required Experience

Must have 10+ years in Telecom, Networking, IT or Computer engineering. Plus proven track record of departmental management and administration experience.

 

Education Level

Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Telecommunications, IT, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.  Master?s degree preferred.



 

Technical Skills Required

Microsoft Office, Routers, Multiplexor, Switches, and PCs.  Information Technology.  Understanding industry trend and technological development.
