Technical Support Engineer Level II

Job Description-

This is a TSE2 position for the 3rd shift 9-00 PM to 5-00 AM.

This Individual will be responsible for providing technical support on Tellabs 5500 and/or 5300 products and becoming a primary focal point for supporting system audits, customer problems and issues. This individual will also resolve field issues and troubleshoot technical problems; accept ownership of customer issues by becoming the point of contact between specific accounts and Tellabs; interface with multiple internal Tellabs departments to resolve issues; generate action plans and develop written procedures for Field Engineers and customers; reproduce technical problems on lab systems; become skilled in the use of test equipment; document field problems in the TAC CMS Problem Tracking database.

Minimum Qualifications-

3-5 years? field or product experience; Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Strong grasp of functional computer technology and equipment to which assigned; Proficient in hardware and software diagnostics; Strong verbal and
interpersonal communications skills; Project management skills.

****People with Similar Cisco product expertise can be taught the Tellabs 5000 series but people with Tellabs experience will get the job first!****

****Must have a 2 year College Degree as a minimum****

AT&T Provisioning Engineers would be a good fit.
