Technical Trainer/Course Developer

EqualLogic, Inc. has an immediate opening for a talented Technical Trainer/Course Developer. Responsibilities include; defining training requirements, content development and also delivery of all technical training courses. The training is focused on meeting the technical needs of EqualLogic Partner system engineers and our customers through instructor led training with some web-based classes.

Description:

Successful candidate will need to have a strong background in Gigabit Ethernet, TCP/IP, Storage Area Networks, iSCSI, storage solutions that involve data management, backup and recovery, and Disaster Recovery.
Focus of the courses is technical pre-sales and post-sales level training.
Delivery will mostly be instructor led training with opportunities to deliver web-based classes.

Responsibilities: Define and develop new course material and perform course updates to existing courses including lecture, hands-on labs, exams, and instructor guides. Classroom maintenance (hardware & software) and classroom setup. Delivery of technical training courses to the designated audience with a high degree of customer satisfaction. Required to work with product teams & engineers to learn new products & features and to stay current on the latest storage solutions and technologies Perform maintenance and upgrades on classroom equipment (i.e., Storage Arrays, Servers, and Software Solutions).

 Qualifications and Requirements: At least 4 years hands-on experience as a Technical Trainer/ Course developer, with experience in at least 3 of the following: Gigabit Ethernet and TCP/IP networks Storage Area Networks, with iSCSI a plus Storage solutions such as - data management, backup and recovery, and Disaster Recovery Enterprise servers Replications and snapshots. Experience with Windows, Solaris, and/or Linux operating systems. Fluent with Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Able to demonstrate established technical experience and knowledge, solid training, presentation, verbal & written communications skills, Ability to learn technical and complex concepts and be able to develop and deliver to learners of varying educational, technical, cultural, and experience levels Strong written and oral communications skills. Result orientated with an ability to manage multiple priorities Demonstrates core values of being a team player, pride in Personal Commitment and Professional Excellence. Excellent hands-on technical experience including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and, maintaining network and systems hardware and software. Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision. Must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize work schedule. Ability to lift 25-50 pounds Up to 50% travel may be required. Bachelors degree or related experience in education, computer science, computer engineering, computer education or experience in related field. Industry certifications are a plus
