Technician IV

General Summary:  Serves as the principal operations representative to our customers in installing and maintaining voice and data products.  Must have programming experience/ knowledge of Nortel PBX and station equipment and Octel voicemail programming.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

? Responsible for the installation, modification, trouble shooting, testing and servicing of Nortel equipment, and Octel Voice Mail. (Nortel PBX, Octel Voice Mail, Call Center, and all other peripheral and ancillary equipment.)

? Process MAC (moves, adds, changes) tickets in Peregrine ticket system

? Provide programming for adds, moves and changes (Nortel Opt 11C-81C and Succession, and Octel Voicemail System)

? Verbal and written communication to clients

? Provide and maintain accurate concise records on repairs, downtime changes and updates.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

 

? Tech degree or equivalent; BSE preferred; 8+ years technician experience.

? Nortel certifications

? Client/Server, LAN, and Windows NT proficiency

? Station programming ? Nortel - Options 11C ? 81C 

? Voice mail programming ? Octel voice mail system (Other voice mail experience a plus)

? Good written and verbal communication

? Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products

? Ability to work on highly complex projects and direct others in project

? Strong interpersonal and customer services skills in dealing with customer on a daily basis
