Technician - Satellite/Head End/Telecommunication 39-54 K/yr

Client in Southeast Nashville has an IMMEDIATE need for a Video Head End Technician for a permanent position. Candidate must have an Associates Degree in Electronics or Video Engineering OR a technical equivalent and 3-5 years experience and training in troubleshooting and repairing video, RF, and IP-based electronic equipment (Head End Equipment experience a PLUS). Candidate will be responsible for monitoring and repairing head end, data, IP switching and hub site equipment. Candidate will also be responsible for the installation, construction, operation and repair of all equipment associated with the head end. Additional responsibilities include conducting head end check and calibrations, FCC performance tests, and quality control checks on digital terminals. Candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with the network services team regarding server, HSD access equipment, analog/digital reception equipment, and High Definition TV equipment repair and monitoring. Certification from NCTI or SCTE a PLUS. Candidate must live within a 30-minute commute of office, or be willing to relocate if outside that range. Candidate must also be available for standby duty, some travel, and overtime. Relocation will be provided for the right candidate.
