Telco Facilitator

Telco Facilitator, Santa Ana   Position Purpose: Responsible for the management of the telco facet of projects in a wireless (PCS) communication environment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in the day-to-day activities to manage the telco process
Supervises ordering and installation of telco circuits
Supervises interaction and coordination with LEC Engineers and Construction Department.
Manage scope, schedule and cost.
Plan for required resources through resource forecasting, estimating and budgeting.
Identify, assemble, and track resources from all disciplines (Engineering & other departments) as required.
Create comprehensive project schedules and other necessary documentation.
Control and track project progress; mitigate negative impacts to schedule.
Estimate project costs, track budgeted costs to actual costs.
Ensure project execution complies with the approved standards and procedures.
Monitor timelines and milestones for changes and corresponding project impacts; manage to strategic dates as provided by the Program Office and/or Executive Sponsor.
Consolidate and disseminate information within and outside the market.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Comprehensive knowledge of cellular/PCS construction.
Computer proficiency.
Must have strong telco facilitation, project management background, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team in a variety of projects.

Demonstrate management, team building, planning, and reporting skills.
Ability to think creatively, work under pressure and demonstrate strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and effective communication.
Solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Clearly and concisely present information in electronic media, one-on-one and small group situations.
Strong customer and results orientation.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse corporate cultures.

Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or any combination of equivalent experience and education.
1 - 3 years of telco facilitation experience.

3 + years Project Management experience, or any combination of equivalent experience and education. Cross-organizational project management is a plus.
Must be proficient in use of computers, especially with MSOffice products.
Must have a good driving record.
Prefer Project Management Institute certification.
