Telecom Analyst

Public Communications Services provides integrated telecommunications systems to correctional facilities around the country.  Our customers look to PCS's expertise to solve their inmate telecommunications needs through highly integrated systems that allows facilities to be In Command and In Control of inmate communications.

 

Conduct regular and periodic analyses of telecommunications vendor billing statements and vendor service agreements. Report findings of analyses to management.  Look for efficiencies during the audit process that will reduce expenses or maximize revenues while improving services to our customers.  Regularly research and monitor regulatory and industry-related telecommunications information on both federal and state agency level.

 

Develop a dispute resolution process required by each vendor and follow these procedures to completion to ensure billing disputes are resolved timely. Participate in the RFP response process by providing voice / data application design recommendations that will maximize service to our customers while minimizing costs to the company. Conduct traffic studies of proposed and existing telecom services and provide capacity planning to maximize profitability or reduce expenses.

 

A Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or management information systems is strongly preferred, plus a minimum of 2 years experience in telecommunications billing analyses.  A combination of education and experience may meet this requirement. Database/SQL server experience a plus.  Experience with Cisco Call Manager also a plus.
