Telecom Analyst III (AVAYA)

General Description: Provide day-to-day operational support for Telecommunications Infrastructure according to company expectations and needs. Assists in planning, organizing and development of the overall project plans and timetables.  Consults with customers and peers in the resolution on complex and technical system problems.  Maintains relationships with vendors and others.  Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

 Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and support a variety of phone switches currently Avaya 8700?s and 8300?s.Implement, maintain and support various Voicemail systems, currently Avaya Modular Messaging and Intuity AudixImplement, maintain and support a variety of Workforce Management Tools,  currently Avaya CMS,  Witness (Blue Pumpkin), E-Talk, SYMON and IVR Platforms.Implement, maintain and support 800 lines and services including ACD set-ups and Vectoring.Perform all Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) including setting up cross connections for phones.Monitoring of system performance and coordinating with vendors for repairs or testing.Meeting with customers to determine their requirements for moves, ACD changes,  or day-to-day activities.Track and order equipment and administer a Telecomm Equipment Inventory.Provide Helpdesk Tier 1 Support.Provide problem analysis and trouble shooting for all of the Telephony Systems. Education and ExperienceExtensive experience with Avaya Communications Manager 8700 and 8300?s.Experience with various IVR?s, Voicemail, ACD, 800 lines, and vectoring and telephony adjuncts.Experience with telephone cabling.Experience with T-1, T-3, POTS, DSL and DID linesStrong Project Management skills.Ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously is required.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must.

 

Other Comments This position will require overtime (some with short notice) during the week and weekends.  Travel is also required to other offices in New Jersey/Pennsylvania.
