DESCRIPTION:

 

The Telecom Engineer provides technical guidance in the selection and implementation of JDA telecommunications services including phone switches, voice mail, fax services and IP Telephony solutions.  The ideal candidate must be proficient in call routing, dial plan coordination, call center processing and management including CTI with an eye toward expense reduction.  The Telecom Engineer will work with external vendor support teams to resolve application, hardware and software related issues for external facing systems to maintain acceptable customer satisfaction levels.

 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

?  Must display excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of internal and external contacts with emphasis on follow-through and reporting.

?  The position requires the Telecom Engineer to work extended hours as needed and participation in a call-out schedule.

?  The environment requires little or no interruption to the system for upgrades or modifications.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

?  Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Sciences or Telecommunications field.

?  Working knowledge of voice and data network services and technologies, managing call center applications along with VoIP.

?  6+ years experience in voice and data network administration and server engineering.

?  Microsoft Windows 2003 MCSE and VoIP experience.
