Telecom Ordering Specialist

Synectics has an opening in Alpharetta, GA for an Ordering Specialist, which is responsible for managing the provisioning of T45, OCX, ATM and T1.5 products and services in accordance with design specifications to meet internal and external customer needs. This consultant will supervise the provisioning process, which includes order receipt, design, test and turn-up of service requests.

 

Qualifications for this position include the following:

- Broad working knowledge of voice, data, ACCUNET T1.5, frame relay and complex networking arrangements

- Project management skills required, including Client Project Liaison, Project Documentation, Project Plan Execution and Task Management

- Documentation and database management skills desired, including expertise with MS Excel

- Experience in Telecom provisioning systems is required (SOTS, POCITS, TIRKS, and EFMS)

- In-depth knowledge of MS Windows 98/2000/NT and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are also required

- Expert level experience is required with Carrier Technology (POTS, ISDN), Broadband Network Bandwidth and the Telecom Industry (at least 1-3 years)

- Technical Education focused in Telecommunications is required while a Discipline in Electrical Engineering is desired

- Expert level experience is desired with Frame Relay and SONET Carrier Technologies
