Telecommunications Business Support Specialist

Functional Responsibility:

The successful candidate has the ability to work independently of direct supervision in meeting objectives for supplier management and business process control within a telecommunications business unit.  Duties include managing circuit implementation with our business partners, ensuring contract terms and conditions are complied with through the billing process, and resolving issue or discrepancies with government program managers/Contracting Officers and or subcontractors as required and in a timely fashion.  The candidate will also be responsible for telecommunication database input/management and reports generation.

 

Minimum Education & Experience:
A Bachelor?s degree in Telecommunications, MIS, Computer Science, or Business is required.  Three (3) to five (5) years experience in the management of telecommunication implementations and associated business processes, expectation management, and invoicing processes.  Knowledge of the Telecommunications environment, including basic knowledge and definition of terms used in the industry (MUX, TSR, TSO, OC-3c through OC-192, LEC, IXC, IOF, Optics, extended testing, etc.).  A high level of expertise in the pricing, design/routing and provisioning of high capacity DOD SONET, ATM and IP circuits within CONUS and OCONUS locations.  Experience with LEC and IXC circuit ordering processes, provisioning and the maintenance of project status through database management is desirable.
