Telecommunications Specialist/Engineer
Responsible for the 24x7 global communication infrastructure with a focus on legacy PBX equipment and emerging technologies in a complex multi site environment. Responsible for assistance with enterprise communication contract negotiation and provide proactive measures to ensure the quality, stability and business continuity of all voice communication. Provides support of the existing Siemens HiCom 4000, Phonemail, HiPath ProCenter ACD and Interalia XMU call director. Provides support of enterprise faxing, phones, mobile devices and VOIP.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalents. Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications.
Thorough understanding of the Telecommunications industry and technology in the HealthCare business environment, with a focus on PBX and Call Centers. With an emphasis in the area of QoS, DiffServ, and other Cisco IP queuing mechanisms. Experience in the area of CTI Networking, IP Telephony, IVRs. Experience and ability to work with Microsoft products including Windows 2000/2003 Server. MCSE 2K/2k3 certification a plus. Recent experience with Siemens HiCom platform.
