Job Summary

AFL Network Services has an immediate need for Tower Climbers, Tower Leads, and Foreman to work on long term projects in Ohio and surrounding states. Employees will be doing upgrades on cell phone towers. These positions require significant travel; per diem is set at $80 per day.  The job necessitates climbing in excess of 500 feet. These are not contract positions and employees will be eligible for benefits immediately.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

? Pick-up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment via company vehicle

? Complete projects in a timely manner

? Installation of coax line, connectors, antenna and accessories

? Installation of RF connections and cables

? Perform maintenance on tower equipment

? Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Experience/Qualifications

 

Tower Hands

? Must have experience in tower rigging

? Ability to climb in excess of 500 ft

? Effective problem solving skills

? Basic installation and maintenance skills

? Basic understanding of tower safety and PPE  

? Willingness to travel is a must

 

Lead Hand

? Must have three years field experience

? Familiarity with test equipment

? Must be a self-starter with strong decision making capabilities

? Must have a valid driver?s license

 

Foreman

? Must have at least 3 years field experience

? Must have at least one year of experience training and leading a crew

? Anritsu Sweep test, Andrews, Comscope and/or Eupen Connector certifications preferred, but not required.

? Must have experience in telecommunication equipment installation

? Must have basic computer skills, including emailing, ability to transfer data from a SiteMaster to a laptop, and transferring pictures from a camera to a laptop

? Must have a valid driver?s license
