Job Summary

AFL Network Services has an immediate need for Tower Climbers, Tower Leads, and Foreman to work on long term projects in Arkansas and surrounding states. Employees will be doing upgrades on cell phone towers. These positions require significant travel; per diem is set at $80 per day.  The job necessitates climbing in excess of 500 feet.  These are not contract positions and employees will be eligible for benefits immediately.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

? Pick-up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment via company vehicle

? Complete projects in a timely manner

? Installation of coax line, connectors, antenna and accessories

? Installation of RF connections and cables

? Perform maintenance on tower equipment

? Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Experience/Qualifications

 

Tower Hands

? Must have experience in tower rigging

? Ability to climb in excess of 500 ft

? Effective trouble shooting abilities

? Boom lifting is preferred, but not required

? Willingness to travel is a must

 

Tower Leads

? Must have at least 2 years experience as a tower hand

? Familiarity with test equipment

? Must have a valid driver?s license

? Able to fill out timesheets,

 

Foreman

? Must have at least one year of experience training and leading a crew

? Anritsu Sweep test, Andrews, Comscope and/or Eupen Connector certifications preferred, but not required.

? Must have experience in telecommunication equipment installation: Siemens, Percel, Nortel, Lucent, Ericsson

? Must have basic computer skills, including emailing, ability to transfer of data from a SiteMaster to a laptop, and transferring pictures from a camera to a laptop
