The need for Enhanced 911 Service

In the early 1990s, as mobile phone usage began to increase, emergency service providers in the United States realized that many of the people who dialed 911 from wireless phones were unable to accurately describe their location ? resulting in a delayed response.

In response to this growing problem, the Federal Communications Commission issued the Enhanced 911, or E-911 mandate, requiring wireless carriers to implement technology that automatically locates wireless callers. TruePosition developed its wireless location solutions to help U.S. wireless carriers fulfill the mandate.

Exceeding Phase II of the E-911 Mandate

Phase II of the E-911 mandate requires that network-based wireless location systems locate 67% of calls within 100 meters and 95% of calls within 300 meters. TruePosition?s Uplink Time Difference of Arrival (U-TDOA) wireless location technology has exceeded these requirements in extensive deployments conducted in varied environments and with multiple air interfaces. Today, TruePosition?s technology is being deployed nationwide in the Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile networks. TruePosition and the wireless operators are providing life-saving location information which is available to millions of users across the United States. In addition, the technology is being deployed by smaller rural carriers like Viaero Wireless and Iowa Wireless.

We are currently searching for a Training Manager.

The goal of the Training Department is to equip True Position with the knowledge, information and skills necessary to be successful by developing and delivering quality, timely and consistent training programs. In addition, it will provide a valuable profit center for True Position to provide its customers and vendors with training necessary for them to meet their needs for installing and maintaining True Position hardware and software as well as other requirements as jointly defined.

Direct the development, production and implementation of a comprehensive training strategy, along with programs and curriculum for customer service/satisfaction, employee development, and technical/system training needs.

Analyze training requests and performance issues, determine causes of discrepancies between desired and current performance levels, distinguish between training and non-training solutions, recommend appropriate training and non-training solutions, and mobilize other resources to implement holistic solutions to the underlying business issues.

Define the courses required to satisfy the demand of our customers/vendors and as required develop new/additional courses. Tailor the curriculum such that our customers/vendors have the proper level of expertise to perform the required tasks. Revise curriculum as necessary on an ongoing basis.

Indirectly manage the content production of new training requirements brought about by new releases or software upgrades. Supervise the blending of training material taking these new developments.

Manages projects and associated budgets to ensure they are appropriate for level and scope of need, focused on improved performance and business outcomes that are clearly defined and aligned with strategic priorities, and cost effective

Must have 8 to 10 years of related experience and a Bachelor?s Degree. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
