Job Summary:

The VP/Director of Carrier Relationships is responsible for the engaging with world-wide service providers to drive the adoption and deployment of WiMAXplus technologies.

 

Skills and Experience required for this position: 10 years experience working for a cellular service provider. Experience with CDMA or GSM RAN deployments is required.A strong technical background in wireless communications is essential.International experience and language skills are highly desirable.BS in electrical engineering; MBA (preferred)

 

Job Responsibilities:Define the strategy for engaging world-wide service providers with the intent of selling an end-to-end WiMAXplus network for mobile multimedia applications. Determine the target customers based upon regional spectrum allocations & regulations, licensees, TDD/FDD, and deployment timing. Establish relationships with key decision makers within target service provider organizations.  Determine key success goals for NextWave to win the customer (service provider) for selection of WiMAXplus technology.  These likely include performance targets, deployment costs, schedule, field trials, ecosystem partners and required vendor relationships.Drive the key success goals within the NextWave organization resulting in winning the target service provider account for selection of WiMAXplus technology. Manage the interfaces between the customers? engineering / management team and NextWave to facilitate the introduction, field trial and commercialization of WiMAXplus technology.Monitor the world-wide regulatory issues for the key target markets (auctions, changes in regulatory environment, license awards, technology selections, deployment announcements, etc.). Participate in WiMAX Forum Regulatory Working Group (RWG) meetings.Tracking worldwide carrier plans for WiMAX and other mobile broadband deployments.This position requires extensive work at a computer terminal which comprises approximately all the time spent not traveling.
