Vice President of Sales - Large Enterprise

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee all areas of Large Enterprise Sales.  This position requires a strong sales and management background with the ability to set and achieve aggressive Company sales goals.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage and direct sales associates to achieve Company and individual sales goalsPlan, organize, develop and execute successful sales strategies including the development of new vertical marketsInput into pricing methodologies, tools and other metricsHire new Sales Representatives as neededWork with outside vendors to establish and develop relationshipsMust be competent in support of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and
the development of their responses, proposal development, and
delivery of PowerPoint presentationsDevelop high level of understanding of CCC infrastructure, processes and proceduresWork closely with management to establish timelines for critical and upcoming projectsManage personal and department T & E (Travel and Entertainment) budget to maximize revenue and minimize expensesAssist in A/R settlements of delinquent customer accounts if requiredCoordinate work activity with other staff to meet the needs of customersResponsible for creating and maintaining department budgetWorks closely with other departments to ensure customer issues and time table are metPrioritize sales and marketing activitiesPerform other duties as assigned by the PresidentAbility to travel 50%+Participate in trade shows, seminars and other public events as
necessary, and perform other position and/or segment related
projects and activities as requested or directed

 

The associate may be required to follow other job related instructions and to perform job related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

 Bachelor degree in business or related field requiredMinimum of 10 years experience in similar positionMust possess broad knowledge of telecommunications, voice and data transportHave successful track record in Large Enterprise telecommunications, voice and data services and/or network services salesMust have a proven, confident and structured approach to sales (a
proven process of prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, creating
the need and closing the business).Excellent oral and written communication Ability to multi-taskAbility to create and maintain budgets/cash flowStrong analytical skillsStrong communications skills both verbal and writtenTactical and strategic business planningMust be detailed oriented Must possess high degree of discretion, trustworthiness, good judgment and professionalismMust have clean background and driving record

 

Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities

 Possess and excellent knowledge of telecommunication principals, network design and fiber related equipmentExperience in assessing carrier bandwidth transport requirements, performing cost analysis and generating price quotations.Knowledge of optical network equipment, fiber optic construction and familiarity with a wide range of network based services

 

Working Conditions

 Ability to work in a fast-pace environment Travel up to 50% of timeMust be willing to work extended hours, weekends and holidays if required
