WEB/INTERACTIVE DESIGNER

 

Primary Responsibilities:Work with top notch User Experience team to help design innovative customer experiences in the area of broadband applications.Translate end-user requirements and wire frame layouts into effective visual designs and prototypes.Make extensive use of graphics, HTML, CSS and Flash to create professional quality, interactive content for the web, usability testing and prototypes.Engage with team members in a collaborative and flexible effort to design end-user applications.Actively participate in all aspects of the design process including identification of user needs, conceptual designs, storyboarding, prototyping, and iterative end user validation.

 

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:Must have strong creative/arts background with exceptional visual design skills.Prior success and proficiency required in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.Experience in advanced HTML, CSS, and Dreamweaver.Superior skills are critical in the areas of typography/layout, animation, and user interaction design (icons, interface elements).Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a team-oriented environment.Perspectives on current visual design trends and how they impact software design, development and end user interaction.

 

Requirements and Skills:At least 4 years professional work experience in visual end user focused design.At least 4 years experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.At least 3 years hands-on experience with advanced HTML and CSS.At least 3 years experience in visual design for the web.Experience with Macromedia Dreamweaver.A relevant portfolio of creative projects including web sites is required.Optional:  Experience with Flash and Actionscript a plus.
