WiFi / WiMAX RF Planning Engineer

Responsibilities / Requirements-

The WiFi / WiMAX RF Planning Engineer will be responsible for the planning &
optimization of the radio access part of WiFi / WiMAX networks.

Must have criteria-
* Electrical Engineering Degree or similar
* Knowledge of 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g, 802.16 d/e
* Previous RF planning experience with WiFi, WiMax, GSM, UMTS, Microcell planning, Microwave planning or similar wireless technologies.
* Familiar with link budget analysis and RF propagation modeling.
* Experience with mapping software. (e.g. MapInfo, Google Earth)
* Experience analyzing WiFi site survey data from tools. (e.g. Ixia Chariot, Cognio, Airmagnet, Ekahau or equivalent)
* Experience analyzing the CW survey data from test equipment. (e.g. BVS Yellow Jacket Wi-Fi Receiver, Gator test transmitter, or similar.)
* Able to perform on site surveys to select and record prospective site locations.
* Able to read maps and work with a GPS system to attain co-ordinates of the site.
* Have valid drivers license, insurance and good driving record.
* Have excellent PC skills and competant with Microsoft Office products ( e.g. Word, Excel and Power Point ) for writing survey reports.
* Work in a team enviroment and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Work with minimum supervision.

Considered a plus to have-
* WiFi certified, (e.g. BelAir, Tropos, Cisco equipment or equivalent).
* Experience with RF planning software. (e.g. ICS Telecom, Asset)

Levels of experience-

Level 3- Senior/Principal Engineer-
* Related experience of 3 years and more
* Proven record of projects in related fields completed successfully
* Advanced Degree (Electrical Engineering or similar)

Start- July 24, 2006 or ASAP
Duration- 6 months
Location- Boca Raton, FL
Pay- $47.50-$50.00/hr plus $135/day per diem
