Wireless Email Engineer

Telecommunications Development Corporation (TDC) specializes in IT Consulting, Training Services, and Wireless and Wireline Communications project management to government agencies, major firms, associations, and other organizations in support of public safety, homeland security and municipal solutions. Our clients include Amtrak, ATF, District of Columbia, IBM, MCI, and Verizon among others.

 

We are currently seeking a Wireless Email Engineer for our company wide Messaging Program which involves the management of several email and directory servers across several data centers. The Wireless Email Engineer will provide Wireless Email support and administrative services for the company wide Messaging Program?s Wireless Messaging service.

 

The Wireless Email Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and administration of the wireless messaging systems with the company wide Messaging Program.  The role requires regular communications with other departments within the company, knowledge of wireless messaging technologies combined with excellent project management, organizational and communications.

 

Responsibilities include administrative support of wireless messaging servers within Exchange 2003 and Exchange 5.5 environments and the following tasks/milestones:

-  Development of new wireless messaging technologies and the expansion of new value-added wireless messaging solutions. 

-  Adoption of emerging wireless technologies and constant evaluation of all wireless messaging PDA introductions within a fast paced PDA industry. 

-  Support and coordination of wireless messaging services.

-  New product evaluation and testing.

-  Migration to new, more valuable wireless messaging services.

 

Our ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related

field with more than 10 years of experience working within a team of email administrators,

engineers and directory services specialists, with more than six years of experience in support of

existing wireless messaging solutions, and in the evaluation and roll-out of additional services as

new technologies emerge.
