Job Description:

 

The ideal candidate for this position must have strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.  Also required are excellent oral and written communication skills and a proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels.  Our work environment is team oriented and very fast paced, therefore a strong candidate must have excellent organizational skills, time management skills in addition to a professional attitude and attire that exemplifies the Expeditors culture. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

? Prepare various documents for international transportation

? Data entry into our proprietary operating system

? Interact with our customers in arranging their international export shipments

? Coordinate with our contracted vendors in procuring space and services

? Accounting duties

? Accurate and timely billing of customers and vendors

? Adherence to procedures and productivity standards

? Continuous self-development

? Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction

? Allocate workloads within the department

? Make sure department deadlines are being met in a timely manner

Experience:

? A minimum of 3 years of related experience in Air Export Operations/Customer Service

? Hazardous materials certified and IATA/FIATA a plus

? Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels
