Assistant Manager-Inventory Control

Assist the manager in all functions of the Inventory Control Department.? This includes the functional areas of purchase settlements, collateral control, contact/post ion control and Rule 5 in invoicing. Oversee the process of insuring all domestic products and marine cargo. Handle all export and domestic claims processed through insurance company.

Oversee the process of insuring product including marine cargo, domestic inventory in owned and non-owned warehouses, and domestic shipments. Obtain a complete understanding of the insurance policies and comply with all terms and provisions. Handle all export and domestic claims process through insurance company, including country damage, fire, acts of God, gin-related and warehouse-related claims. Work cohesively with insurance adjustor,warehouse/gin, IT and trader to effectively resolve claims and collect payments. Monitor and review the control of the product inventory from inception of the purchase contract through the application of product to a sales contract. Maintain accuracy of customer account in accounts payable subledger. Monitor and routinely reconcile warehouse receipts to electronic providers.

Aid and coordinate contract receiving and delivery processes as it relates to the New York Board of Trade? Futures Contracts.

Bachelor's Degree

Experience with marine insurance preferred

Must have Microsoft Great Plains details experience

Strong foundation in accounting, and cotton industry knowledge preferred

Good communication skills to effectively deal with coworkers, subordinates, warehouse personnel, textile mills, customer vendors, and insurance adjustors and underwriters

Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and spreadsheets
