Assistant Operations Manager

A leading logistics provider seeks an assistant operations manager to lead a team of three dispatchers and a driver fleet of 75 plus drivers. 



We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and creative transportation professional with the ability to lead operations of a multi-faceted transportation operation. 

Must be capable of scheduling multi-shifts and planning manpower needs.  Experience with dedicated truckload and backhauls.

Experience with driver qualification files and hiring/recruitment of drivers a definite plus.



Individual must have a good knowledge of DOT regulations.

Must have excellent communication skills along with people skills in a fast paced environment.

Must be able to relate effectively with labor force as well as with upper level management of client, and internal and external customers.

Must be able to manage labor and costs.

Should have experience with fleet maintenance and with leasing companies.



Individual must be able to recognize how decisions can influence processes up and downstream within the organization as well as with internal and external customers.



Must me organized with good computer skills including Microsoft office products i.e. excel, word, powerpoint.



Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule including some weekends if needed.
