JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of accurate forecast information which will ensure the creation of appropriate purchase orders or transmission of appropriate information to the CRP suppliers. Proper execution of this position will result in achievement of the Division Service level and Turns goals.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Add products to the OMNI Corporate Product file with required pricing data according to Divisions and Corporate policy as required by New/Lost Business reports and OMNI NonStock Requirements reports.Add/remove inventory items to/from the OMNI Branch Inventory file as required by New/Lost Business reports, OMNI NonStock Requirements reports and Manugistics reports.Maintain message lines in OMNI Branch Inventory file record to reflect new and lost business information.Review and modify demand forecasts for CRP and non-CRP inventory items using the Manugistics Toolkit window, as required by new and lost business information.Notify CRP Suppliers of usage changes as required by the specific Supplier.Maintain inventory item ordering rules such as Minimum/Incremental purchase quantities and purchasing horizon using the Manugistics SKU Maintenance window.Maintain Supplier ordering rules using ReplenAction windows, such as PO dollar/quantity minimum and order schedules (for non-CRP Suppliers).Review PO Specification line items using the PO Specs headers window and review/understand the supporting Manugistics data.Release reviewed PO specs to OMNI Purchasing to produce purchase orders.Ensure created purchase orders are transmitted/communicated to Suppliers.Verify purchase order items and line item prices to ensure they are at the most favorable level.Expedite late open purchase order lines for all Suppliers using Manugistics reports.Notify Customer Service of product delays, including manufacturer back orders and shipping issues.Link Sales order lines to purchase order lines for branch non-stock items shown on NonStock Requirements reports.Initiate InterBranch Transfers (IBT's) in response to critical stock out situations and to Manugistics IBT Candidates reports.Identify excess inventory items using Manugistics reports and post appropriate product to the Transferable Inventory (TI) Pool.Assist Customer Service teammates in responding to service level issues.Assist Receiving teammates by researching discrepancies between order shipped and receiving quantities.Assist A/P teammates in responding to pricing and other invoice exceptions and authorize payments/returns to Suppliers as required.Take full advantage of Supplier Return programs for return of incorrect shipments and overstocks, utilizing Manugistics reports.Review monthly service level and turns data by Supplier to identify potential problems and adjust demand forecasts, inventory item ordering rules and Supplier ordering rules as required.Take advantage of Supplier Buy-in opportunities using the POSpecLines window and adding planned orders to PO Specs.Communicate new product information, price change information and product recalls to division teammates.Work closely with Sales Representatives to resolve issues relating to back orders and new products.

 

EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:Basic knowledge of arithmetic, English, and grammar.  Accuracy in checking, posting, and counting.  Simple use of automated office equipment.  Adaptable to clerical routines.  Equal to a high school diploma.
