The Controller directs and coordinates the accounting and financial activities of the company under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. This includes general financial accounting activities, maintaining an adequate system of internal accounting controls, billings to customers and cash management. This individual is responsible for providing timely, accurate and informative financial and operating reports to the members of management and helping them interpret those reports.  This role will function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company?s internal and external customers.

-Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data and perform complex financial analysis.

-Analyze monthly financial statements and provide summary financial reports to management, as required.

-Prepare and analyze the company budget.

-Coordinate and prepare for the annual audit and corporate tax work.

-Address correspondence/inquiries from tax authorities.

-Monitor the company's borrowing position.

-Authorize expenses.

The Controller is an exempt position in the Finance Department.  This position reports to the CFO/VP of Finance and is responsible for the Finance Department staff.  The following are additional requirements specific to the position:

 Education Requirements

Requires a college degree in accounting or related business degree, 3-5 years of related experience and a CPA license is preferred.

 Physical Requirements/Working Environment and Conditions

-Ability to maintain a moderate level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required by preparing and analyzing data, figures, computer terminals, etc.

-Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware and equipment.-Ability to perform the following physical activities: fine manipulating with hands, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.

-The majority of the work occurs within an internal office environment.

-Occasional work will occur in a setting where temperatures may vary.

-Work is classified as sedentary with the requirements of exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
