Cargo Sales Customer Service Representative and Account Executive

Martinair is a progressive international passenger and cargo airline with over four decades of cargo transporting expertise. Martinair has an established international reputation as the biggest transporter in perishables: fresh flowers, vegetables and fruit. In addition to perishables, we transport all manner of cargo.

 

We are seeking an organized, sales-oriented Customer Service Representative and a Cargo Sales Account Executive to be based in Los Angeles, CA. These positions will support the sales efforts of the Regional Cargo Sales Manager, promoting sales of Martinair cargo services to and from the Los Angeles area.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Daily contact with customer base, providing information and logistic services for most aspects of export/import cargo including: air cargo bookings, pricing, and surface transportation services.Inside office telephone sales activity in conjunction with the regional manager.Daily administrative duties including: cargo accounting functions, computerized record maintenance, customer surveys, local office clerical organization, and communication with various Martinair personnel at our Boca Raton, FL headquarters.Liaising with the contracted cargo handling agent on daily activities and responsibilities.Liaising with operations management on daily operational issues.Occasional outside sales activity.

 

The requirements of this position are as follows:

 PC literacy with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.BS degree in business, logistics or transportation is preferred.2 - 4 years experience with international airline or air freight forwarder, handling cargo operations and sales, may be substituted for BS degree.Bilingual English-Spanish beneficial but not required.

 

 

This position may require flexible hours to include some weekends and minimal travel.
