Central Dispatch Coordinator / Dispatcher - Part Time

Jevic Transportation, Inc., a premier LTL carrier, is seeking a Part Time Central Dispatch Coordinator / Dispatcher to work at our Delanco, NJ facility. The Central Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for providing both load and power projections along with early power projections to the facilities. This position includes a Saturday night shift 8pm ? 8am and another 12 hour shift that can be flexible.



Responsibilities for the Central Dispatch Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:



Take part in a systematic loads review process and work within a process that will develop a system network plan each day.



Monitor execution of the plan while monitoring team drivers



Inform facilities daily of inbound teams (with ETA?s) and load requirements for them. These load requirements will address utilization, facility power needs



Direct the use of teams and monitor their performance



Provide facilities inbound power projections



Determine early power needs and manage process to provide early power



Perform a team role in a loads review process and in keeping Central Planning Report updated



Directing power from road dispatch to facilities



Directing power from facility to facility



Monitor execution of the plan on a 24-hour basis.





To join our team, the successful candidate must possess the following skills:

Must have 3 to 5 years operations experience Strong planning, organizing, communications and analytical skills Ability to make sound operational decisions and provide direction Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with internal customers Specific knowledge of over-the road dispatch and load planning preferred Ability to work varied shifts as necessary Knowledge of Excel and Access preferred but not required
