Chief Superintendent/ Shipping

Nissin Foods a leader in the food industry is looking for a Chief Superintendent (Shipping Supervisor). The successful candidate will be required to:

Trains, and certify regular and temporary employees on all warehouse equipment and procedures.? Maintain the appropriate records and reports required for daily shipping and daily inventory control.? Monitor employee job performance.? Involvement in continued process improvement, and cost reduction.? Ensure an orderly and safe workplace. Successful candidate must be bilingual (Understands and speaks Spanish).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are considered essential to the job.? Qualified individuals must have the ability - with or without reasonable accommodation - to perform the following duties.

1.?????? Communicate company direction to supervisors and ensure compliance.

2.?????? Ensure Pick Sheets, Bills of Lading, and if needed, a pallet memo for each shipment is completed and accurate before each shipment leaves a Nissin facility.

3.?????? Make certain each pick sheet matches pallet slips before generating Bills of Lading.

4.?????? Maintain a carrier traffic log.? Ensure traffic log is followed, and trucks are loaded by ??????????? appointment.

5.?????? Enforce accuracy of every load, and has the appropriate initials PB, LB, & CB.

6.?????? Supervise forklift drivers pulling, staging, loading, unloading, and product uniting.

7.?????? Ensure all trucks are loaded/unloaded within the specified time frame.

8.?????? Receive inbound shipments and stock transfers.

9.?????? Receive and verify counts of finished goods from production.

10.?? Rotate inventory by Production Date Code. (Oldest production date ships first except on stock transfers to public warehouses)

11.?? Ensure all forklift drivers are performing a daily forklift preventative maintenance inspection.? (Records must be kept for possible OSHA Audit).? Keep fleet maintenance records.

12.?? Ensure daily production count is accurate and reported prior to 9:00 am EST.

13.?? Ensures that partial pallets are stacked, stowed, and pallet slips are accurate.

14.?? Sort returned pallets.? Contact carriers & Traffic as pallets deficit is close to maximum limit.

15.?? Perform month end physical inventory, and cycle counts, to ensure physical inventories matches book inventory.? Reconcile monthly inventory results.

16.?? Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.? Ensure Sanitation Schedules are followed.

17.?? Effectively communicate to management, customer service, traffic or other departments with areas of concern dependant upon the situation.
