Job Description:
Reporting to PULSE-EFT Association?s Shift Supervisor, the Third Shift Computer Operator primary function is to monitor for all problems that could potentially impact the goal of 100% switch uptime availability, processors availability or impact the goal of Settlement reports being available for delivery by 19:00 and ACH delivered by 21:00. Understand and communicate the overall impact of changes, problems, and daily tasks on the integrity of the production environment.

SKILLS
Required:
1.Assist Processors in the determination and resolution of online and offline problem situations.

2.Perform IBM console duties for Houston & Dallas mainframe, responding to abnormalties on CA-7 that could potentially impact settlement processing.

3. Monitor all hardware and software systems in the Houston and Dallas Data Centers. Placed service calls to vendors on alarms and system messages that could indicate a failure and perform problem escalation to appropriate PULSE support team.

4.Assisted in problem isolation to reach a resolution and created problem tickets for tracking purposes.

5.Ensure the successful execution of report transmissions and perform report retransmissions if necessary.

6.Perform tape backup, vaulting and other library functions to support disaster recovery. Attend training sessions and perform special projects as required.


Desired:
Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience is required. Candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Wordprocessing, spreadsheets, MVS Mainframe and Tandem experience.
