Cross Border Subrogation Manager

Position Description: JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the subrogation recovery process of all expenditures for equipment repairs and cargo claims due to damage or theft at SNI locations supporting the Mexican border crossing. Travels approximately 30%.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinates with Operations and other internal customers to identify needed information in investigating, filing and resolving claims.

2. Meets with third party carriers and venders either in the US or Mexico to conduct investigations, research or conduct negotiations to recover damages or theft of SNI equipment.

3. Manages the invoice resolution & collection within specific target timelines of the invoice date.

4. Provides continuous coaching and partnering of inspection personnel and internal/external customers regarding trailer and container inspections and business to achieve an accurate invoicing and collection process.

5. Interfaces with carriers and vendors h to resolve damage or theft trends and provides direction and support to the inspection program resulting in reduced overall costs.

6. Performs monthly review of past due invoices and works them to resolution.

7. Analyzes data and works with third party carriers and vendors to define, establish, maintain and improve damage prevention procedures.

8. Identifies ways to reduce the turn time of a invoice from the date invoiced to date closed.

9. Coaches and mentors SNI departments of Cargo Claims, INS, LHS, Sales, and CS in recovery and collection of costs related to equipment damage or theft.

10. Continuous design, development and enhancement of the invoicing and reporting processes.



Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

? Two Years college training in the areas of communications, negotiations, process, planning and organizing or like experience.

? Experience working independently from broad goals and areas of responsibility.

? Planning, organizing, prioritizing workload.

? Experience in role that required the investigation of root causes and development of preventative solutions.

? Negotiation skills with individuals and group.

? Bi-lingual (Spanish)

? Lead groups or presentations.
