Customer Service Clerk

Purpose of Position:The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance for the customer service function.

 Qualifications: 

 

At least 6 months of experience in a related function is preferred.

 

? Must have 6 months of experience in a customer service setting.

 

? Proven ability to handle frequent number of phone calls.

 

? Must have data entry skills and be proficient in MS Word and Excel.

 

? Must have excellent organizational skills.

 Principal Accountabilities

 Principle Accountabilities:

 

? To speak to customers on phone and receive load information.

 

? To perform data entry in system for loads received via phone, FAX and email.

 

? To handle EDI (load acceptance, shipment status, etc.) for specific customers.

 

? To schedule pickup and delivery appointments for specific customers and enter corresponding information into the system.. 



? To occasionally solicit loads from new and existing customers.

 

? To assist the CSR in all aspects of the customer service function process.

 

Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Educational Background: Level of Education 

 High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
