Concert Group Logistics (CGL) seeks a Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative for their Denver office.  We provide freight forwarding & logistics services on a global basis through our network of transportation professionals.  Our reputation has been built on exceptional customer service and local ownership has been in the Denver marketplace since 1996.  We know our customers on a first name basis and make it easy for them to work with us.  We specialize in providing customized transportation for time sensitive, high value or damage-sensitive products, parts and equipment.  Current industries that CGL works with include High Tech, Data Storage, Aerospace/Aircraft Parts, Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals and Telecommunications.

 

Our Denver office provides a small group work environment.  We are a good fit for you if you enjoy working closely with ownership, like variety in your daily work activities, can multi-task in a fast paced environment and work best in unsupervised situations.

 

Job Purpose:

 

The Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative main responsibilities are to effectively handle customer requests and to help grow our existing business.   Customer requests include freight quotes, scheduling shipments, inquiries about shipments, filing freight claims, and day-to-day shipment problem/success notification. Growing our existing business entails working with the sales staff on target accounts, building positive business relationships with our customers, and providing the best customer service in the industry.  Your role is to be a freight transportation consultant for our customers and help them make the best decisions regarding their shipping needs.

 

This position also involves freight routing and tracking.  The best mix of cost and service is to be considered when creating shipment routings.  ?Outside-the-box? thinking is encouraged.  Freight tracking gives us a + 98% on time delivery performance and keeps our customers updated on what is going on with their shipments.

 

Duties:

 

This department is the first to answer incoming phone calls and creates the image our customers have of us.

 

Freight routing and tracking

 

Work closely with the outside sales team to keep them informed about kudos and concerns from existing clients.

 

Answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.

 

Develops sales opportunities by building rapport and providing information.

 

Preparing shipping quotations & shipment scheduling

 

Assists sales team on special sales projects and proposals.

 

Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

Previous experience in an inside sales / customer service position is a must.  Prior freight transportation experience and degree in Logistics are preferable.  Intelligent, service-oriented individual with a difference-maker mentality.  Also must excel at Multi-tasking, Building Relationships, People Skills, Data Entry Skills, Customer Focus, & Professionalism.

 

Salary and benefits:

 

Benefit package includes paid health and dental insurance, paid vacation, Simple IRA plan with employer matching, and profit sharing. 

 

Salary range based on education and experience.  $30 K to $40 K per year plus bonuses and profit sharing (can be up to and above and additional $10 K per year)
