DC Manager-On-line Subscription (Philadelphia, PA)

BLOCKBUSTER (NYSE BBI) is looking for a DC Manager-Online Subscription-Philadelphia to work in our Online Subscription Distribution Center located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The selected person will operate and maintain all functions within a small Distribution Center.

Additional responsibilities include:Plan, schedule, and manage the daily work activities of one or more departments within the warehouse (i.e., processing, returning, and packing) to performance metrics in the areas of: throughput, cost, and customer service; Maintain overall quality control within the warehouse; train DC personnel on how to meet and/or exceed productivity standards; maximize safety standards and provide a clean work environment; establish loss prevention controls and monitor employee activity to minimize company loss due to theft and damage to company property; utilize a personal computer, the warehouse management system, and a time tracking system to conduct warehouse operations, communicate with others, monitor payroll/hours, extract information, and process reports; perform supervisory functions, such as, completing and conducting performance reviews, administering disciplinary actions, interviewing employment candidates, preparing payroll information, etc.)and configure and troubleshoot distribution center hardware to include bar
code scanners, label printers, personal computers, and pick ticket
printers.


The selected person should have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Microsoft Office Products; 5-7 years experience supervisory skills within a distribution or manufacturing environment;Intermediate written and oral communication skills; Must have an understanding of all WMS functions and how they relate to operational procedures including receiving, order processing, picking,packing, shipping, cycle counting, and reverse logistics.

The selected person should have a 4 year degree, manufacturing/distribution or related work experience.
