DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR

SOLO CUP Company is looking for an experienced DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR to be responsible for supervising the shipping and receiving of finish goods in the warehouse of our Owings Mills, Maryland facility.

 

Responsibilities:

 Manages warehouse operations and staff for related shift.Manages and maintains inventory and distribution of finished goods.Maintains and manages inventory systemsManages flow of incoming materials by rail or truck including scheduling to minimize cost.Manages vehicle fleet for warehouse.Directs a specific business segment by managing the cost, safety requirements, reliable distribution practices and material inventory.Provides leadership in the education, training, coaching and motivation of multi-dimensionally skilled team members.

 

Requirements:

 BS Degree;3-5 years experience in a warehousing environment.Proven experience in meeting quality, safety, cycle time, conformance to schedule, cost, inventory, process enhancement and employee relations objectives.Proven experience in managing a business or business unit with a budget responsibility of $7-12 Million and saves revenue of $250 Million.  Proficency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with computerized inventory and material tracking systems.Good knowledge of the operation and maintenance of material handling equipment.Strong communication, leadership, organizational and project management skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Available to travel and be on call 7 days per week.
