DRIVERS WANTED - FOR "THE rIDE" AND FOR TAXI

NO CDL NEEDED.

VTS, headquartered in Waltham, MA, is seeking candidates for driving positions at its two divisions:

Veterans Transportation Services, transporting disabled passengers in Boston and suburbs west and north, under the MBTA's RIDE program;
Veterans Taxi, a suburban company transporting the general public, generally by reservation, to a wide variety of places in the Newton-Waltham-Boston area.

If you like helping people, you will enjoy this job, since ALL drivers, even for taxi, are trained to assist the disabled.

The RIDE hires only full-time drivers, whereas Taxi drivers can be either full- or part-time.

FOR A LIMITED TIME, NEW RIDE DRIVERS WILL EARN A $400 HIRING/RETENTION BONUS!!


Taxi drivers have no upfront costs driving for us: they are paid a generous percentage of their daily receipts, plus tips of course. RIDE drivers are paid by the hour, with the rate depending on whether they are a wheelchair van driver or a sedan driver.

Qualifications for either division: A valid MA driver license, at least 21[25 for taxi], and a good driving record.

Other requirements include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a criminal record check and English proficiency tests.


The RIDE driver position comes with a very good benefits package, including paid holidays, vacation and sick/personal time, a 401K plan, and other important benefits. Van drivers satrt at $10.00 per hour [after training paid training], while sedan drivers start at $9.00 per hour. All new drivers receive a $.75 per hour increase after 3 months.
