As the Director of Logistics a working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems, implementation, methodologies, systems integration, communications technologies, and relational database design is required

 

Must be able to demonstrate good process mapping and development skills to deliver the logistics operating model within each division

 

Excellent communication skills coupled with strong systems awareness and a sound knowledge of modern supply chains, procurement and/or logistics practices.

 

Responsibilities include coordination between Management, Technical Resources, and Operations Resources throughout the life-cycle of a project.  Achieve the expected services levels, at the same time as achieving them within your budget. 

 

With overall control of the companies logistics function, specific responsibility will be for all material warehousing.  An ability to liaison with both internal and external customers to ensure expectations are met and inventory levels are managed effectively.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear record of achievement in a fast paced, modern manufacturing environment and be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.  This is a major opportunity to join a forward thinking global business that rewards success with progression.  Previous experience within the automotive sector will be an advantage. 

Demonstrate strong interpersonal and sales skills as well as management of multiple personnel and projects.  Superior 'hands-on' problem solving skills are essential.

 

Qualifications/Experience Required:

?  Be self motivated and have a minimum of 3-5 experience within a large complex organization including project management experience as a lead or in a major support role.

?  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

?  Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution abilities

?  Familiarity with supply chain systems and tools
