As the nations fifth-largest transportation company in North America, U.S. Xpress is a leading truckload carrier with expertise in providing award-winning, time-definite, long haul, expedited, dedicated and regional services.  We are searching for a seasoned Director of Pricing.  This manager is responsible for the pricing staff of analysts and the analysis of potential business opportunities.

 

<b>Position Functions</b>
? Responds in a timely manner to bid opportunities, pricing for new and existing opportunities; developing proposals.
? Manages the Pricing Matrices.
? Uses and develops costing and pricing models.
? Manages on a daily basis the spot quotes for new or existing customers.
? Determines proper staffing levels within operating budget

 

<b>Position Requirements</b>
? Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a four year college degree; in Engineering or Logistics
? Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales & Marketing or Pricing
? Analytical thinking, Leadership, Interpersonal and Short and Long-term Planning skills
