Distribution Center Assistant Supervisor

Currently, we are looking for an experienced Distribution Center Assistant Supervisor for our Pittsburgh Distribution Center located in Robinson Towne Center near the Pittsburgh Airport.

The professional we seek will have a high energy level with great interpersonal skills and thrive on multiple challenges with a high school education or equivalent, 3-4 years directly related warehousing experience; or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.  Prior experience with and/or knowledge of automated inventory tracking systems highly desired.  Demonstrated strong orientation to the team concept of management and operation.

 

The DC Assistant Supervisor will supervise warehouse activities at the CompUSA Distribution Center. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Inspects physical condition of warehouse area and equipment; ensures that all equipment is in good working order; ensures that equipment is maintained and/or repaired as necessary; ensures that all Team Members follow and adhere to safety procedures when operating equipment, lifting, and/or transporting merchandise; maintains clean and organized work area and warehouse.

 

Ensures inventory of supplies on hand is maintained.

 

Ensures the retail floor is properly stocked.

 

Responsible for batching and consolidation of customer orders; ensures that customer orders are pulled and consolidated correctly.

 

Resolves receiving conflicts that arise in the Distribution Center; ensures that receiving meets the product demand for allocated products/sales required for shipping.

 

Ensures that incoming merchandise is properly checked-in, logged and marked; reports all receipts timely and accurately to Warehouse Manager.

 

Responsible for the storage of CompUSA merchandise received; ensures merchandise is located in the correct location according to the inventory tracking system.

 

Ensures that outgoing merchandise is properly checked-out, logged and marked; reports all receipts timely and accurately; oversees all priority store transfers; ships outgoing merchandise timely, safely and most economically.
